Benji Taylor

Benji Taylor is a British designer, product leader, and entrepreneur known for his work in consumer software and cryptocurrency-native applications. He is the founder of the consumer software company Los Feliz Engineering, which was acquired by Aave Labs. As of March 2026, Taylor is the Design Lead for X, a role that also involves work with Elon Musk's other companies, xAI and SpaceX, and is considered integral to the development of the "X Money" payments platform. ^{[1] [2]}​

Los Feliz Engineering

Taylor founded the consumer software company Los Feliz Engineering (LFE). Following the acquisition of Los Feliz Engineering in September 2023, Taylor joined Aave Labs, the primary development firm behind the major decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Aave. After his tenure at Aave Labs, Taylor took on the role of Head of Design for Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain network developed and incubated by the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. In March 2026, it was announced that Taylor had been hired by Elon Musk's social media platform X as a Design Lead.
